This private villa features a bespoke black-and-white interior designed around clean lines, strong contrast and practical everyday living. Custom joinery, carefully selected furniture and distinctive decorative pieces give the open living and dining areas a consistent and personal character.

The Conceptual

The concept was to create a contemporary interior using black and white as the main design language. White walls and light upholstery keep the villa bright, while black framing, furniture and architectural details provide structure and definition. Small accents of blue, red, green and brass add interest without overwhelming the overall scheme.

Design Process

Space Planning: The living and dining areas were arranged as one connected space, with each area maintaining a clear function and comfortable circulation.
Bespoke Joinery: Custom display cabinets, wall panels, storage units and the television wall were designed to suit the room’s dimensions.
Furniture Selection: The furniture was selected for comfort, proportion and consistency with the black-and-white design.
Lighting and Styling: Integrated shelf lighting, wall lights, artwork, plants and decorative objects were positioned to highlight key features and add warmth.

Challenges Overcome

The main challenge was combining strong black architectural elements, patterned fabrics and decorative pieces within one open space without making it feel visually heavy. This was addressed by using white and light neutral surfaces as the foundation, maintaining balanced spacing and repeating the same finishes throughout the living and dining areas.
